Our Story

Round 3 Racing is owned by father-son team of Buz and Brad McCall. Buz has a long and successful racing history going back to the 1980’s in IMSA racing. In the 1990’s, his American Equipment Racing team, as the factory supported Chevrolet team, won four (4) consecutive championships in Trans-Am. The team transitioned to NASCAR’s Busch and Winston Cup series with Caterpillar as the sponsor in the mid-to-late 1990’s. Buz’s son, Brad, formed Round 3 Racing in 2013, with the intent of beginning a racing career of his own. In 2015, Buz joined Round 3 Racing full-time and helped usher in the team’s endurance racing effort in 2018. R3R is managed at the race shop by its longtime crew chief Marc Gomora, a highly experienced professional race technician and Porsche master mechanic.
